God I hate the way this picture came out.....

No, not from the cartoon on T.V......although cool, it's nothing compared the the comic where Raven has alot more capabilities, alot more problems, alot more reasons for those problems, and a much cooler costume XD.

I made this for I-Con, which took place a few weeks ago. It was tons of fun.

This was by far the biggest project I've done. Usually I would only be making a shirt here and there for a costume and buy the rest, or even just alter a whole bunch of stuff I don't wear anymore. In this case I made the entire cloak and dress. For me, that's a lot. ^_____^ And considering that I had a very limited amount of time due to some problems (like my dress pattern NOT coming on time), I'm happy with the results.

To start off with.....my gloves didn't come in on time......grrrrr.....those'll have to wait for the con I'm going to early June. Didn't have time for the overhang on the hood either. The dress, I would like to make again out of something stretchy....I had to use a zipper and pins in the back so that I could get the thing to fit me snuggly. XD The jewel I got to stay on with double sided tape and it lasted all day! heheh.

This didn't cost me too much......the cloak was made of a crushed velvet that cost me 4/yd, I had bought 7yd. I used a cloak pattern and ignored the sleeves. The dress material cost me 6/yd, picked up 3. I altered the bottom of the dress so that it would have the front and back tails. Patterns were 8 a piece. Got the shoes on sale for 20. The gloves.....which haven't gotten here yet......cost me 35....... because I will be asking for my 10 back for 2 day delivery that never happened. Those silver disks on the cloak were cardboard ornaments that I bought in a craft store for a buck each. I already had paint, I just bought some varnish to coat them. Used stick on velcro to attach them. So overall this cost me roughly 150, because i did buy some materials that I didn't end up needing.....ouch....sounds like a lot once you put it all together. XD
